Synthetics Pro Scanner User Guide

This guide explains how Synthetics Pro Scanner scans Deriv synthetic indices, where signals appear, and how to configure the most important MT5 inputs. Website: www.syntheticshub.com.

Installation

  1. Open MT5 and click File, then Open Data Folder.
  2. Open MQL5, then Experts.
  3. Place the EA file inside the Experts folder or an Experts subfolder.
  4. Open the file in MetaEditor and click Compile.
  5. Go back to MT5, right-click Expert Advisors, then click Refresh.
  6. Drag Synthetics Pro Scanner onto any chart.

Strategy Logic

Synthetics Pro Scanner combines 4H market direction with 15M retracement confirmation. The focus is market continuation, not reversal chasing.

  • 4H displacement: The EA looks for a large candle compared with ATR.
  • 4H FVG: The displacement must leave a fair value gap.
  • 15M FVG: The lower-timeframe FVG must sit inside the 4H FVG.
  • Turtle soup: Price must sweep into the FVG and reject the retracement.
  • Continuation close: A 15M candle must close back in the original 4H direction.

For a bullish model, price first makes a strong bullish 4H move, leaves an FVG, then retraces with an opposing candle into the gap. The EA waits for 15M liquidity sweep and rejection before sending a buy signal. The bearish model is the same logic in reverse.

Where Signals Appear

By default, the EA is set to signal-only mode. When all conditions are met, signals appear in:

  • MT5 popup alerts, if popup alerts are enabled.
  • Toolbox → Experts, where the EA prints the signal details.
  • Toolbox → Journal, where MT5 activity may also be recorded.
  • Phone push notifications, only after MetaQuotes ID is configured and push notifications are enabled.

Choosing Symbols To Scan

The EA can scan in three ways:

  • Default: Scan matching synthetic indices visible in Market Watch.
  • Exact list: Type exact symbols into InpSymbolsCsv.
  • Attached chart only: Set InpScanMarketWatch = false and leave InpSymbolsCsv blank.

Main Input Parameters

Risk And Trade Management

  • Stop loss: Placed beyond the 15M turtle soup swing with a buffer.
  • Take profit: Default reward-to-risk is 1:3.
  • Lot size: Can use a fixed lot or risk percentage.
  • One setup rule: The EA can limit signals to one per 4H setup.
